The Zurich-based quartet Meta Zero, lead by drummer Samir Böhringer, stylistically classifies as jazz. However, the group likes to experiment with new ways of adding their personal sound to the traditional genre.
The band plays with timing and pace but all in an avant-garde jazz format. It can be very experimental and free-form at times but more accessible and beautifully composed at other points. The whole music blends together in live-show format that would urge you to listen to it straight the way through rather then pick and choose singles.

Sänger und Pianist Raphael Jost versteht sich als moderner Crooner. Er überrascht mit seiner kraftvollen, warmen Stimme und bewegt sich leichthändig zwischen Jazz und Pop. Seine Songs sind Momentaufnahmen aus seinem Leben – catchy, aber stets raffiniert verpackt. Gleichzeitig liebt es Jost, der bereits für sein Debut-Album mit dem Swiss Jazz Award ausgezeichnet wurde, swingende Standards zu singen und lässt am Piano seine Idole aus der Swing-Tradition wie Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander oder Ahmad Jamal aufleben.
